Linda Whiteside
From as long ago as I can remember, I have had a passion for drawing and painting. It wasn't until the Spring of 1992 however, while taking classes in ceramic sculpture at Riverside Community College, that I discovered the joy of "working in the mud". It has been an ongoing journey of love and discovery ever since. I find inspiration in the beauty of nature and God's special creatures. My work often expresses as whimsical as this is the energy that seems to demand expression as it flows through me.
A move to the Sacramento area in 1994 brought new opportunities for growth and expansion. Here I met my good friend and "soul sister", Lana Federico. We have been sharing studio space and inspiration for over 20 years.
I currently make my home near the banks of the American River in Fair Oaks with my husband Bill.
I have exhibited my work extensively in the greater Sacramento area and throughout the State, as well as galleries in Oregon and Nevada.
